What a re-lay is
The crew lifts the tile and stacks it on the roof, tears off the old paper, fixes any soft wood, puts down new underlayment and new flashing, and then sets your tile back. Broken pieces get replaced with matching tile.
Because the tile is reused, a re-lay usually costs less than a new tile roof and the house looks the same when it is done.

Partial re-lays
Sometimes only one slope, a valley or the area around a skylight has failed. A partial re-lay fixes that section. Your estimate will say whether a partial makes sense or whether the rest of the paper is close behind.
Do not walk on it
Concrete and clay tile break under a boot if you step in the wrong place. If you need to see the roof, look from a ladder at the edge or from the street, or let us send photos.
